PADDY RICE is rice that has been removed from the outer chaff, but still has it's outer husk. This gives the rice more nutrients than other, more processed forms of rice.

Many birds enjoy Paddy Rice, such as parrots, cockatoos, lovebirds, parakeets and finches. It is especially ideal for newly-imported seed-eating birds (such as Java Rice Finches or Red-Capped Cardinals). It can be fed dry, or served soaked for easier eating.
